Marriegel
Mountain summit
Description
The Marriegel is a 622 meter high mountain in the Rosalien Mountains in Lower Austria. About 200 meters east of the peak runs the border with Burgenland.
Location: Lower Austria, Vienna Alps in Lower Austria, Rosalien Mountains, Schwarzenbach municipality.
In the southwest, the fields reach the top of the mountain to within a few hundred meters. The rest of the Marriegel is completely forested. Several forest roads in the beautiful open terrain lead to just below the summit, then the trail turns into the forest. Several hunting lodges are located in the area of the Marriegel.
